Accord Family mediation is a team of highly experienced family mediators who have relevant professional backgrounds.
All Accord’s mediators are members of the Family Mediators Association and other professional bodies and are accountable for the quality of their work.
All Accord’s mediators have achieved Legal Services Commission accreditation.
Accord has also been awarded Quality Mark status by the Legal services Commission.
Jane Busby
Jane is the founder and principal of Accord. Jane is a solicitor having specialised in family law. She trained as a mediator in 1998 with the Family Mediators Association and since 2002 has worked exclusively as a mediator.
Jane is also a professional practice consultant for the Family Mediator’s Association as well as other lead mediation bodies, supervising other mediators for the quality of their work. She is trained to undertake child consultation in mediation.
Mary Winner
Mary has been a mediator for over twenty years and a supervisor of other mediators for ten years. She was the manager of a large mediation service where she was instrumental in setting up mediation on finances.
Children have always been a concern and she is trained to undertake child consultation in mediation. Mary is assiduous in keeping up to date on legal and financial issues as well as approaches in dealing with the emotional aspects of separation.
She has a degree in social science, a masters in social research and a diploma in psychological counselling.
Jenny Baldrey
Jenny trained with National Family Mediation in 1989. She had previously had extensive experience working in the Family Court Welfare Service, now known as CAFCASS. Since the mid 1990s she has worked exclusively as a family mediator.
A former trainer with NFM, Jenny continues to provide professional practice consultancy to three other mediation services as well as independent mediation practitioners.
Jenny is committed to high standards within the profession and works with clients to achieve outcomes to suit their individual circumstances and those of their children.
David Mendes da Costa
David has practised as a barrister for over twenty years mostly in family law. He has been a mediator since 1999. In 2002 he was appointed mediator for the London Centre of Marriage Care.
